- Physical principles
- Function, construction and use of pumps, motors, cylinders, directional, pressure, flow and lock valves, reservoirs and filters.
- Operation of variable pumps with pressure, flow and output controllers.
- Practical exercises with design of basic circuits, controlled manually and electrically.
- Start-up and maintenance of hydraulic systems.
- Reading of circuits and functional diagrams.
Electrohydraulic Control and Control Technology HY-A (3 days):
- Proportional valve technology: mode of operation and features of proportional valves, valve electronics, start-up aids.
- Use of proportional valves: adjusting the valve characteristic, ramp functions, hydraulic positioning axis in open control chain.
- Control and servo valve technology: construction and features of control and servo valves.
- Use of control and servo valves: position control circuit, natural fre-quency, circuit amplification, setting of position controllers.
- Practical exercises on the subject areas.

Project Planning of Hydraulics Systems HY-Proj (2 days):
- Selection criteria for switch hydraulics components such as core data and steady-state characteristics.
- Design of pumps, motors, cylinders, pipes, hydraulic accumulators, filters and heat exchangers.
- Construction aids.
- Selection of operating media.
- Work steps in project planning, using a circuit as example.
Basic principles of mobile hydraulics in agricultural and municipal engineering HY-ML (4 days):
- Optimisation of hydraulic plants under consideration of economic aspects.
- Use of load-sensing valve, proportional and regulating valve technology.
- Components and systems for load-compensated hydraulic systems.
- Structure and mode of operation of mobile directional control valve blocks.
- Comparison of constant current and constant pressure systems.
- Proportional valves with CAN bus for mobile hydraulics.
- Digital electronic lifting gear control - EHR for tractors and combine harvesters.
- Examples of use, practical exercises
- Hydrostatic fan drives for vehicles.
